Ms. Öznur Yüksel Önal joined Güngör Law as Counsel in February 2026. She has a distinguished career of more than two decades in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, with significant leadership roles at MSD İlaçları and Takeda İlaçları between 2000 and 2025. Prior to her pharma career, she gained 5 years of experience in the banking sector.

Ms. Önal possesses extensive expertise in Ethics & Compliance, Pricing & Market Access, Finance, and Commercial Operations. Over the past 12 years, she served as a member of Country Leadership Teams and led country-level compliance committees.

She has successfully led the development and execution of comprehensive compliance programs in multinational organizations, managed global audits, conducted risk assessments and trainings, and implemented key systems and policies. She also brings substantial experience in change management, having played critical roles during the integrations of Schering-Plough/MSD (2009–2010) and Takeda/Shire (2019). She has a proven track record in driving and coordinating complex cross-functional projects.

Earlier in her career, she took on key responsibilities in Pricing & Market Access, securing multiple reimbursement and price approvals, and managing government relations. During her time in Finance, she oversaw bank relations, cash flow management, transfer pricing, and commercial accounts receivable processes.

Throughout her tenure in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Önal was an active member of AIFD (Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies Association) committees, contributing to shaping the regulatory and business environment in her fields of expertise.

Ms. Önal graduated from Boğaziçi University with a B.Sc. in Economics (Honors) in 1996 and later completed her MBA at the same university. She is committed to continuous professional development, holding a certification in Executive Coaching (Gestalt Coaching School) and having completed specialized programs in Health Economics and Six Sigma. She also contributes to the community through voluntary coaching projects and mentoring initiatives for new managers and university students.
